These two rock singer-songwriter’s will be going on tour together this summer!

Matt Nathanson is a 43 year-old rock-folk singer-songwriter from Lexington, MA and San Fransico, CA. Nathanson released his first album, Please”  in 1993 and then released nine more albums. He is known for his single, “Come on Get Higher,” that was released in 2007. Nathanson has paired up with the country band, Sugarland, in 2012 and released the song, “Run.” Nathanson’s last album, “Show Me Your Fangs, “ was released in 2015. My favorite album of Nathanson’s is, Some Mad Hope (2007),” and I highly advise listening to it.

Phillip Phillips is 25 year-old singer-songwriter from Albany, Georgia. He became famous when he won American Idol Season 11 and is known his song, “Home (2012)” and sold over 4 million copies in the United States. I’m sure everyone has heard his song in radio commercials, movies, etc… His first album, The World From the Side of the Moon” was released in 2012. The album debuted at No. 4 in the Billaboard 200 and sold 169,000 copies.

He opened for Matchbox Twenty in 2013 and then opened for John Mayer, the same year. Phillips last album, Behind the Light,” was released in 2014. Phillip’s song, “Home” and “Gone, Gone, Gone,” but Phillip’s songs that he performed were great and I still listen to them.

I saw Phillip’s open for John Mayer and I saw Matt Nathanson tour with Gavin DeGraw last summer. They are both extremely talented performers  and sound exactly like they do on their records. Phillip’s played the hell out of his guitar on stage and Nathanson was extremely funny when he introduced some of his songs and you could truly see how dedicated and thankful he is for his fans.
