This is probably one of the first bands I’ve interviewed and written about who are from my favorite places in the world, Boston! I’m very impressed by this band because of their story of how they formed and are today.
In February of 2013, Katie Coriander (vocalist and guitarist) and Matt Axten (drummer) met at, All Asia Cafe in Cambridge, MA. Coriander at the time was working on a solo project and she was in need of a band. Axten took a huge leap of faith and volunteered to be her drummer without even listening to her music. When Coriander and Axten performed their first show together, they didn’t rehearse their first setlist. The musical duo has performed at numerous venues in the Boston area such as, The Middle East (one of my favorites), TT the Bear’s Place, and more!
Like I said, Earth Heart have released five EPs and released their first full length professionally recorded album in January, 2016. They recorded the album, Homesick, with with Shaun Curran at the recording studio, Napoleon Complex in Somerville, MA. Homesick was released on August 5, 2016. Along with releasing their album, bassist Natan Keyes joined Earth & Heart.
Keep on rockin’ guys! See ya around Boston soon!
